Amerykah has turned a corner and we should all turn with it. I have thoughts ideas and suggestions but I also have patience and desire for us to be whole and one. I have been speaking a lot lately of the human condition and the generations of Black Americans. i will entertain any and all conversation as long as we can be respectful and grown up. She is the Lyte L.Y.T.E, In the 80’s rap and hip hop were just past its infancy stage but it was still a male dominated club but some sistahs where making their presence felt MC Lyte was one of them. With catch beats, a powerful voice and strong lyrics with a message, she could not be ignored. It also didn’t hurt that she, I can honestly say, is one of the most beautiful women in the game. She was the first solo female rapper to ever go gold. She has also made several television appearances as herself and in actual acting roles; one of my favorite appearances was on the television show “The District”. In the current millennium she has continued to garner praise and awards and has donated some of her belongings to the Smithsonian.

So MC Lyte., please accept this invitation to the Dinner party of the year. Your opinion, your history, and your mad lyrics are more than welcome!

Now I have never been in the armed service so I have nothing but respect for those who chose that route. These are some great folks. I have an ex who was a Sgt. Major in the army and for about a year I lived in an army town.

All the John McCain POW stories I have heard is how he was broken and bruised and even when the opportunity to leave came up he said “Not without my daughter!!” (Sorry old Sally Field reference.) Now you’re running for President of the
Well I will tell you what. Let’s do that Senator McCain. If we can turn the page on the economy then let’s turn the page on the

Well Senator McCain, I can’t wait for November 4th to come. Hopefully we will be able to “Turn the page “on you. And trust me, on that day I will not be playing El Debarge in your honor!
