Red headed step child

We are a little less than three hours away from the 100 days for President Barack Obama. It is clear that Chuck Todd has not has not realized he is over his head as Senior White House correspondent for MSNBC but i wonder what dumb ass question he will be asking this evening?
Waiting with baited breath!

Now I know who Pat Buchanan reminds me of....

I just figured out who Pat Buchanan is, he is the Archie Bunker of political news. “All in the Family” was a unique show that can never be repeated because that time is long gone, but what made the show so great was the honest the head of the Bunker household. Archie Bunker was a everyday blue collar guy that grew up and lived in Queens.

Archie had no problem but honest and extremely non politically correct about how he felt and would often go off on a rant no matter who was there.
As I watched Pat Buchanan today on hardball today I realized as he went on his rant about how the bloody drug war in Mexico was going to lead to US having as many Mexicans living in the here as there. Things that , even if they thought it, no other news politico would say Pat Buchanan readily and easily blurts out. He is politics 1959 living in a 2009 world.

And sometimes he is a meathead…..
Chuck Todd The real red headed step child

Is Chuck Todd getting on anyone else’s nerves?
I have to say that since the folks at MSNBC took Chuck Todd from behind the digital map and made him Sr. White House correspondent the bloom has fallen off that particular rose. I am the last person to say I dislike someone for doing their job, but unlike Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow, or hell even Bill O’Riley of on farce news Todd is not being paid to be cynical and snarky, he is being paid to report from the white house and to get us the information we need.
His question at President Obama’s press conference Tuesday night was laughable. “Will you be asking American’s to make sacrifices?” Ummm hello Chuck, you’re a reporter, how can the current state of the economy and the suffering of Americans have escaped you unless you have your head firmly wedged up your ass? Even when the President gave examples of how people were sacrificing days at work so co workers would not get laid off you still didn’t seem to get it.
Today the President held the first ever “On line” town hall meeting. One more attempt he is using to make the White house seem more open and give us the people, who don’t have your press credentials, a voice. You however come on ten minutes after it ends and you refer to it not only as some stunt, but you are self centered enough to believe the administration is doing this to get past the press.I hope when MSNBC picks his replacement they give they check to see if the next Sr. White house correspondent has his finger on the pulse and not up his nose. (It can’t be up his ass, which is where his head is!)

Tuesdays Invitation!

About two years ago I got hooked on “Countdown with Keith Olbermann”. The show presented news in a way that was both instructional and entertaining and it became a regular staple in my nightly watching. One night Keith was on vacation and I was introduced to a very plucky and nervous Rachel Maddow. She was a little shaky and she tried a little too hard to be “Keith” but I was endeared to her just the same. As time went on and she made more guest appearances she found her own footing and her own path, I am happy it was televised and I was along for the ride. A few of her endearing qualities is that first all this woman is wicked smart. I mean nobody calls her Dr. Maddow but, they probably should, she is a Rhode Scholar and has earned a doctorate in Political Science from the

So Rachel Maddow please accept this invitation to the Dinner party of the year. Your opinion, your geekiness, and your smarts are more than welcome!

Tuesdays Invitation!
Eugene Robinson was born and raised in
So maybe a little under two years ago I started watching “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” on MSNBC. It was about this time I was introduced to Eugene Robinson as it seemed he was on at least three out of five days a week. I found his commentary refreshing and very intelligent. I also found it very even in the fact that here was this black man who managed not to be black but not in a bad way. He just kind of laid his commentary down on the line and answered questions, even the ones directed to him because he was black, from a very universal point of view.
So Eugene Robinson, please accept this invitation to the Dinner party of the year. Your opinion, your intelligence and your style are more than welcome! You can come late since you will probably be appearing that night.

The lettuce of the Elite!

So in preparing to watch tonight's historic debate I turned on MSNBC's show Hardball. Chris Matthews hardball host was sitting in with Senior Advisor to John McCain Douglas "McCain invented the Blackberry" Holtz-Eakin. When Chris asked him what stragety Palin was going to take tonight he stated that "Sarah Paling is a real Middle Class citizen and that was her strength as oppose to the democratic candidates who are only faux middle class". To bring his point home he stated that one of Obama's favorite meals in Arugula. when Chris asked Douglas what arugula is he answered "well you know it's a very fine.........."
If you are gloing to promote elitism and food you should pick food that you actually know , not just something that sounds fancy. So tomorrow I will be sending Douglas Holtz-Eakin a email and a picture with a defination.
Arugula, an aromatic salad green, most popular in italian food. Lettuce ladies and gentlemen......lettuce!
