Why I have opened the window!

Amerykah has turned a corner and we should all turn with it. I have thoughts ideas and suggestions but I also have patience and desire for us to be whole and one. I have been speaking a lot lately of the human condition and the generations of Black Americans. i will entertain any and all conversation as long as we can be respectful and grown up. "Divas" The Art Show

I had the pleasure of attending an art opening at the New Door Creative Gallery this past Sunday for artist Morgan Monceaux.

Morgan is a triple threat artist a painter, a singer, and a dancer. He is also a historian. It was that love of history that inspired his most recent collection “Divas”.

“Divas is a dazzling array of African American prima donnas, brought to life from the unique world of mixed portrait painter Morgan Monceaux.

The Artist Morgan, on the left, poses for a picture with a fan.

I am no Art critic but i know what i like. This picture makes me thing of Hansel and Gretel which is cool because that is the name of the piece.

Myself and a few more art appreciators with Morgan.

Morgan's favorite piece in the show Renee Battle.

My favorite piece in the show. Why because it reminds me of Wonder Woman.

For those in the area who wish to lay witness to a truly wonderful collection the exhibit extends from March 1st until March 29th at the New Door Creative Gallery at 1601 St. Paul Street in Baltimore Maryland.

"Primative" painting is harder than it looks.
All of my attempts end up looking too finished.
